If you are driving Highway 3 between the coast and the Okanagan, Princeton is where the road gives you a reason to pull over. The town sits where the Tulameen and Similkameen rivers meet, roughly halfway between Hope and Osoyoos, with Manning Park behind you in one direction and the Similkameen Valley ahead in the other.
Frannie's Coffee is at 142 3rd Street, in the heart of town. It is our original café, the one where Frannie's started.
What to order
Espresso and lattes made with beans from Giobean, an Okanagan roaster. Tea from Tulameen Tea Company, our sister company up the road in Tulameen. Fresh pastries and food every day. And because the Princeton café is licensed, there is a glass of wine or a cold beer on the menu too, for whoever isn't driving.
When we're open
- Sunday to Thursday: 7am to 5pm
- Friday and Saturday: 7am to 7pm
We open at 7am every day, which suits an early start on the highway.
Why stop here
There is a table for the whole family, the room is warm and clean, and nobody rushes you. Frannie's is named for Fran, who always believed the best conversations happen over coffee, and the Princeton café is still run that way. Locals are in every day, and travellers are welcomed like regulars.
Take some with you
Our roaster's coffee is available to brew at home: whole bean in dark, medium and decaf. And if you want the café on a shirt, the Princeton tee has it illustrated across the front.
